Now’s the Time for Gold to Shine

Gold finished 2022 on a high note after rallying off near-term lows in September. Speculation over peaking inflation and the potential for a pause in rate hikes triggered a modest pullback in the U.S. dollar, giving gold an opportunity to find its legs. This, combined with growing recessionary fears and strong physical demand, supported gold’s near 10% gain in the 4th quarter. Gold miners were able to claw back some of their 2022 losses on the commodity’s strength. However, gold miners also still remain largely undervalued – both on an absolute basis and relative to the yellow metal – presenting a uniquely attractive entry point for investors seeking refuge from broader equity market declines.

In this webinar, we will cover several prescient topics related to current gold markets, including:

  • Coalescing market factors providing compelling support for higher gold prices in the near term
  • Valuations and other potential tailwinds for gold miners heading into 2023
  • Portfolio positioning and the names we are most excited about
