Lead with Empathy & Go With Your Gut —Especially in Unprecedented Times
In this episode I speak with Laura Morrison, SVP, Global Head of Listings for Cboe. I’ve known Laura for many years now from the world of ETFs. One of the nicest people you’ll meet in the industry. In a very basic sense, she leads the team helping issuers like VanEck get ETFs listed on the stock exchange and works with market participants to facilitate an efficient trading experience. Previously, she led the team at NYSE, and currently she is doing the same for Cboe. As the ETF industry has grown globally, she is also very active with the European ETF market.
We spoke about her career, starting on the floor of the NYSE and her rise to leadership. She, like me, seems to enjoy building teams and seeing those teams flourish to influence a business goal. So, I was keen to get her take on managing a team and influencing creativity and innovation.
Also, this year has a been a notable one for ETFs for a number of reasons, but one development in particular Laura has been involved in is the semi-transparent active ETF. We speak about these new types of ETFs as well as what Cboe is doing in the European market.
