The Day After: Lessons from the 2022 Midterms

To many observers, the political stakes have never been higher than they are right now, with the core tenets of democracy and the stability of financial markets in question. With so much uncertainty, the 2022 midterm elections seem poised to serve as a true referendum on current sentiment and should provide clearer insight into the trajectory of the U.S. in the near term.

Former Congressman John Faso joins us the day after the midterms to discuss the results of the elections, the state of politics and the ramifications for the markets, as the second half of the Biden administration begins. John Faso is an attorney and politician who served as the U.S. representative for New York's 19th congressional district from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, he served 16 years in the state Assembly and also ran for Governor of New York in 2006.

  • Analysis of the 2022 midterm results
  • Implications for the financial markets and geopolitics
  • What to expect for the U.S. and current administration into 2023 and beyond
