Further, there are tradeoffs many don’t seem to be acknowledging. I meet with Shawn Reynolds who serves as VanEck’s Portfolio Manager for the active Natural Resources Equity Strategy and is trained in petroleum geology and earth science. We chat about the energy transition as well as the pros and cons of the recently passed climate bill, what types of companies are likely to benefit from it, and if it goes far enough. We also discuss Shawn’s outlook on inflation and commodities.
